45 dots: the 45 terrorist attacks reported in the EU in 2025 (Europol, TE-SAT 2026). Positions are not places.
Not an opinion blog. An archive meant to be cited - by journalists, researchers, elected officials, and the communities most exposed.
The name remembers Saint-Michel, Paris - 25 July 1995.
Attacks and arrests are Europol's latest published year, 2025 (its report on 2026 is due in 2027). Threat levels are the latest each national service has published, with their dates. Select a country for its breakdown by ideology.
Europol itself warns that the threat cannot be judged from the number of attacks and arrests, casualty figures or their geography alone (TE-SAT 2026, p. 18). That is why every country shows its breakdown by ideology.
Europol's count for 2026 is due in 2027. Until then, this is what national authorities have published themselves, each item linked to the official page. It is a floor, not a total.
Germany dominates this list because its federal prosecutor publishes every case online. The official sites of Spain's and Italy's interior ministries, France's internal security service, Belgium's federal prosecutor, Sweden's security service and Austria's interior ministry could not be read, and 15 Member States have not been checked yet: a missing country is not a zero. The selection is ours: an item is listed when the authority names the Islamic State, ISKP or Hamas, or calls the motive Islamist or jihadist, and every attack an authority declared terrorism is listed too.
